Ladies' Section

My name is  Kaye Gough and it is my privilege to be Ladies' Captain for 2024. 

Ladies' Section

Our section comprises some 100 members and is a thriving, sociable and friendly group.  We meet every Tuesday throughout the year and participate in both competitive and fun competitions.

Lessons - Individual and Group

Our Professionals also hold group lessons for the ladies throughout the year and individual lessons are also available. Practice facilities include a putting green, driving range, chipping green and an excellent practice/teaching area. The Club has excellent teaching facilities and an Academy for people just taking up the sport.  Many of our ladies have come through the Academy and are now enjoying playing in all the competitions alongside full members. 

Club Competitions

Qualifying medals are held from March to October and Stableford competitions are played throughout the year.  Regular team competitions are organised including Betterball, Foursomes and Greensomes, as well as Texas Scrambles and other formats.  Ladies are also encouraged to play in mixed competitions, where there are lots of opportunities for participating both within the Club and against other clubs in the region. 

SCLGA Competitions

The Ladies' Section is actively involved in all Sussex County Ladies Golf Association (SCLGA) competitions. We also play in friendly matches and organise exchange days with other clubs across the county. We enter teams in prestigious National events, such as Daily Mail Foursomes, Ping Fourball Betterball and more.

New Members

New members are always made very welcome and quickly integrate into the Club. 

The Social Side

The Ladies' Section is proud of its active social programme, which brings the members together for a wide variety of activities: Ladies' Coffee Morning, Bridge, The Lady Captain's Bridge Drive, several dinners during the year and a full programme of events organised by the Entertainment Committee.

My Vice Captain is Patricia Maxwell and together with our committee we hope to enjoy a year of ladies golfing successes, whilst having fun along the way.
