Hole 8
This is the first par 5 you will encounter at Haywards Heath. A big drive can be attempted between the trees onto an open fairway with a ridge 230 yards out. After that you have a choice - either a shot to the right side of the fairway to set up an approach or a bold shot to the green, in the hope that the pond, well stocked with flora and bird life, doesn't capture your ball. This is a scenic and appealing hole, which can sometimes prove damaging to a medal score!
